About this service
Speaking with confidence in daily life and at work: phone calls with offices, conversations with teachers and doctors, interviews, small talk and Italian etiquette.
Knowing a language is not the same as being able to speak up in it. Communication lessons work on the moments that matter: the phone call to the landlord, the meeting with a teacher, the job interview, the conversation with a colleague, the polite way to disagree. We practise them out loud, in Italian or English, with feedback in your own language.
Alongside words we cover the unwritten rules: how Italians greet, how formal to be, when to use lei, how to write a short professional email, how to read the tone of a reply. Lessons are one to one or in small groups of two or three.

Before you ask
Is this an Italian or an English course?
Neither. It is practice in speaking well in the language you already use for work or daily life. If your Italian is still very basic we suggest language lessons first, and we can recommend a school.
Can we rehearse a real situation I have coming up?
Yes, that is the best kind of lesson: bring the letter, the job description or the meeting invitation and we prepare exactly that.
Do you offer this for teams?
Yes. Small workplace groups, for example a restaurant or clinic team, can book a series of sessions on customer conversations.
