Questions we hear often

Before you ask

What is the difference between a plain and a sworn translation?

A plain translation is for understanding and everyday use. A sworn (asseverata) translation is signed before a court officer and carries legal value: Italian offices, notaries and universities require it for foreign certificates, diplomas and contracts. We tell you which one your case needs before you pay.

Do you translate for notary appointments?

Yes. We prepare the translation of the deed or contract when required, and an interpreter attends the signing so that you understand every clause before you sign. The notary decides whether a sworn translator must also be present; we coordinate that.

Which documents can be legalised or apostilled?

Foreign public documents usually need an apostille or legalisation from the issuing country before they can be sworn-translated in Italy. We explain the order of steps for your country and can handle the Italian side.

How fast can you deliver?

Short everyday documents usually the same working day. Sworn translations depend on the court's timing, typically a few working days; we confirm the date before you commit.
